C&R Drainage clears blocked gullies, yard drains and channel drains, then jets the pipe beyond so the water has somewhere to go.
Gullies sit open to the weather, so they collect leaves, silt, moss and grit. Kitchen gullies also catch fat and food waste from the sink. Over time this settles in the trap at the bottom and slowly closes the pipe. Heavy rain then has nowhere to go and the gully overflows. A clean grid on top doesn’t mean the trap underneath is clear.
Look out for water sitting in the gully after it stops raining, a bad smell near the back door, or a grid that overflows when you run the kitchen tap. Downpipes backing up during a storm are another clue. The sooner we clear it, the less chance of water getting under paths or into walls.
